Here’s a complete, ready-to-use EFT Tapping Script for Forgiveness — designed to help you release resentment, guilt, or hurt, and open to compassion and emotional freedom.

EFT Tapping Script

Forgiveness


Preparation

Sit comfortably or lie down.
Take a slow, deep breath in… and exhale fully.

Bring your awareness to someone or a situation you need to forgive, or to yourself.
Notice the emotions — anger, hurt, guilt, resentment — without judging yourself.


Setup Statement

(Karate Chop Point – repeat 3 times)

“Even though I feel hurt, anger, or resentment toward [name/situation] (or myself),
and even though this pain feels heavy,
I choose to acknowledge these feelings honestly,
and I am open to releasing them and embracing forgiveness.”


Round 1 – Acknowledging the Pain

Eyebrow:
“I notice the hurt and anger I carry”

Side of Eye:
“I feel resentment and disappointment”

Under Eye:
“I feel the weight of this pain in my body”

Under Nose:
“I notice memories that keep me upset”

Chin:
“I feel tension, resistance, or sadness”

Collarbone:
“I realize I’ve been holding onto this for a long time”

Under Arm:
“I notice how it affects me every day”

Top of Head:
“I acknowledge this pain honestly”


Round 2 – Releasing Resentment and Guilt

Eyebrow:
“I release anger and resentment toward [name/situation]”

Side of Eye:
“I release the need to hold onto pain”

Under Eye:
“I let go of judgment and blame**

Under Nose:
“I release guilt or shame about this situation**

Chin:
“I soften my heart and mind**

Collarbone:
“I allow forgiveness to flow**

Under Arm:
“I open to peace and emotional freedom**

Top of Head:
“I am ready to forgive and release**


Round 3 – Embracing Forgiveness

Eyebrow:
“I choose compassion over anger**

Side of Eye:
“I allow myself to forgive [name/situation]**

Under Eye:
“I understand that holding onto resentment hurts me**

Under Nose:
“I release past grievances and open to peace**

Chin:
“I offer forgiveness, even if I don’t condone the action**

Collarbone:
“I free myself from the weight of the past**

Under Arm:
“I embrace healing, understanding, and compassion**

Top of Head:
“My heart and mind are lighter and more at peace**


Round 4 – Strengthening Forgiveness

Eyebrow:
“I turn up the frequency of compassion, understanding, and release**

Side of Eye:
“I release all remaining tension, resentment, and pain**

Under Eye:
“I maintain forgiveness even if old memories arise**

Under Nose:
“I respond with calm and love instead of anger**

Chin:
“I nurture myself with patience and compassion**

Collarbone:
“I radiate peace and emotional freedom**

Under Arm:
“I fully embody forgiveness and release**

Top of Head:
“I choose freedom, compassion, and emotional healing**


Closing Integration

Place one hand on your heart and one on your solar plexus.
Breathe slowly and deeply.

Say silently or aloud:

“I release anger, resentment, and guilt.
I choose forgiveness for myself and others.
I open my heart to peace, compassion, and emotional freedom.
I am free, I am lighter, and I am at peace.”

Allow your body, mind, and energy to absorb this sense of forgiveness and emotional release.


Practice Notes

  • Use daily or whenever old hurts resurface

  • Combine with journaling about your feelings and forgiveness process

  • Repeat for self-forgiveness as well as forgiving others

  • Focus on feeling the shift from anger to compassion with each tap
