Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly.
Take 3 slow breaths.

Silently remind yourself:
“I am allowed to heal at my own pace.”

Setup Statement

(Karate Chop Point – repeat 3 times, gently)

“Even though I have felt the need to hurt myself to cope,
and even though this urge has felt like relief or control,
I choose to acknowledge the pain underneath with compassion,
and I am open to beginning healing in safer ways.”

Closing Integration

Place both hands on your heart.

Say slowly:

“I am not broken.
I am learning safer ways to cope.
I choose compassion, protection, and support.
Healing is possible, and I don’t have to do it alone.”

Take 3 slow breaths.

After‑Care Suggestions (Very Important)

Right after tapping, do one grounding action, such as:

  • Drink water

  • Wrap yourself in a blanket

  • Step outside for fresh air

  • Hold something textured or warm

  • Text or message a trusted person

This helps your nervous system anchor safety.
